I read Kompas "letter to editor" mentioning about a complain from a guest hotel named Hasyim Muhammad. He was fined IDR 600.000 or US5 60 because the hotel found that someone smoked in the room he checked-in. However the antismoking policy makes this guy so upset because he said that the hotel did not clearly explain about the rule. Also, he said, it was not him who smoke but his friend.
Btw, I just don't understand this guy attitude. He should accept the punishment and should not complain. Does he know that smoking is dangerous both for himself or other? Studies have proven about the bad effect of smoking. So, to Mercure, well done and hope you will be always commited to implementing the anti-smoking policy.
