A GOLD Coast man who dived into a river to save a drowning motorist early yesterday said he had been sacked after failing to turn up for work.
Andrew Fisher was one of three humble heroes who leapt into the Nerang River to rescue the man after his car crashed through a railing in Surfers Paradise about 2.30am.
