My Easy Fresh Mango Ice Cream (NO Ice Cream Maker Needed!) >^..^

(original url: http://www.allthecooks.com/easy-fresh-mango-ice-cream.html)

Ingredients

2 pound - of fresh, ripe mango (peeled and cubed, that would be 3-5 mangos, depending on their size)

7 oz - of low fat or light cream (you can use regular cream too, like the cream you'd put in your coffee) NOT sour cream.

7 oz - of powdered milk or "dry milk"

3/4 cup - of fresh milk

1/2 cup - regular sugar

Serves 6.

Directions

1 Puree mango chunks in a blender until super smooth. (Use a little of the milk to get it started if they don't puree on their own)

2 Add powdered milk, fresh milk, sugar and cream.

3 Blend for a few more minutes until everything is fully incorporated.

4 Pour into a plastic containers and freeze for an hour.

5 After an hour...lightly beat the mixture using a fork, give it a gentle shake to level it and put back in the freezer. REPEAT this process 4 times then leave it alone to harden for a couple of hours, preferably over night.

6 NOTE: This can be made with different fruit as well. I have used strawberries and cherries, just use the same amount. Frozen mangoes are ok to use as long as they are thawed out completely. If you want to add nuts or chips (chocolate, coconut, etc) just fold in before the freezing process.
