Maverick Indonesia | Indonesia to Launch Koprol.com
Among Indonesian netters, ‘koprol’ is a slang word to describe ‘an act of changing physical location or position’. Probably this is one of the reason why Satya Witoelar and his friends came up with a soon-to-be-launched micro-blogging-site called koprol.com.
“We have never explained about the meaning of ‘koprol’ to our members, but apparently, they got the point in an instant,” said Satya Witoelar, the site-designer.
Koprol.com itself is a website that will help you to locate where your friends are, what they are doing at the moment, and who else are hanging out in your neighborhood. Technically, the site is categorized into ‘mobile social network’ or more specifically, ‘location-based micro-blogging’. Think Google Latitude meets Twitter.
