Investasi Emas Merugikan

Why do I say this? because as I see it now, the gold price keeps falling now. So, the statement above is true.
I think... you all guys who bought gold in February 2012 afterwards, if you sell your gold now, you must have been at loss. Also, if you keep the gold now (May 9), the price has decreased significantly comparing to one in February -April 2012. So, it is not always right to say that gold is the safe investment. Indeed, it has risks.
I do hope the price will be up soon and by the end of this year, it will jump by 30 percent of the current price. Is that possible? well, it could be.....let's see and wait..and then sell....

Indonesian Postal Service is very unreliable

Here is the example how Indonesian postal service is corrupt!

A letter from an American seller mentioning the reason his online store does not send goods to Indonesia. I took this testimonial  from   via http://santosinta.wordpress.com/2008/08/07/barang-kiriman-dari-luar-negeri/

Hello There,

Thanks for your order

Unfortunately normally we do not send goods to Indonesia but we may be able to supply you.

There are 1 reason why we don't send to Indonesia.

1. The postal service in Indonesia is very unreliable. When we did send goods to Indonesia about 50% never arrived.
So if you can arrange with DHL then that will overcome that problem.

Best regards
Sean Morgan

Chinese-made Human Flesh Capsules

From ABC America
By SUSAN DONALDSON JAMES
May 7, 2012
The dried flesh of dead infants appears to be the not-so-secret ingredient
in a health supplement that is reportedly being smuggled out of China.
The performance-enhancement pills, touted for increasing vitality and sex
drive, have been found in the luggage of tourists and in international
mail, according to South Korean authorities.
They said they had confiscated nearly 17,500 of the human flesh capsules since last August, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
South Korean authorities warned that the pills could be dangerous to human health.
"This is gross, as well as creepy," said Dr. William Schaffner, chairman of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical
Center, who consults regularly with the Centers for Disease Control.
"We have no idea how this material is processed and under what
circumstances," he said. "If it's not done in a hygienic fashion to make assurances infections are excluded, it could contain viruses as well as bacteria."
The dried human tissue may also not have been
sterilized, according to Schaffner. "It's an extremely dubious for an
operation like this with the potential for infection complications."
It is not known whether these pills made of human flesh have appeared in the United States.
"Our experts in global health haven't heard about this subject," said Arleen Porcell, a spokesman for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Customs officials in South Korea are beefing up efforts to stop the alleged
smuggling, apparently by ethnic Koreans living in northern Chinese
cities.
Chinese folklore promotes the belief that a human fetus can cure disease and help with circulation and sexual performance.
Last year, the South Korean television station SBS aired a documentary that accused Chinese drug companies of
collaborating with abortion clinics to produce the pills from dead
fetuses.
The documentary claimed that DNA tests verified that the
pills were made from powdered humans. The Chinese have so far been
silent, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Today, American reports of the alleged smuggling stirred up revulsion in the anti-abortion community online.
Schaffner said the pills could transmit the drug-resistant bacteria MRSA that could be on the skin of a fetus. "If these fetuses went through
the birth canal, they can quickly pick up bacteria," he said.
Because the birth canal is in close proximity to the rectum, other bacteria like e coli, salmonella and shigella could be present.
"We know that in China the occurrence of hepatitis B, the viral infection,
is exceedingly high," said Schaffner. "That is also of concern."
"There are societies in some Southeastern Asian countries where hepatitis B is transmitted to the infant from premastication," he said. "The mother
chews on a little bit of food and takes it out of her mouth and puts it
into the baby's mouth. Sometimes this oral mechanism can cause hepatitis B, but it's not high on the list."
In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration does not regulate dietary supplements, but issues a warning to
consumers: "The choice to use a dietary supplement can be a wise
decision that provides health benefits. However, under certain
circumstances, these products may be unnecessary for good health or they may even create unexpected risks."
"There are all kinds of health hazards that can come from abroad from folk or culinary practices that
are not regulated abroad," said Schaffner."In our own country
they wear little packets that contain garlic around the neck to ward off illness," he said. "There is a long basis of folk tradition but its'
never been validated -- and there's no way anything like fetal remains
could provide a health benefit.

Barang yang dibeli dari luar negeri, dikirim tidak lengkap. Apakah petugas bea cukai yang mencurinya?

Trying to call be cukai bandung and the number (7563967) doesnt work. It is weird because this number is given by the staff of Indonesian office post. I asked twice for the number and the officer still give the same number. I want to call that bea cukai (custom department) because I found someone has stolen my item that I bought from the US.

Inside the packege, there shoud be two bottles of multivitamins . I have asked this to the seller via email and she said that she sent two bottles.  However when i received the item deliver by indonesian post office,  I found it is only one bottles. The package I got had been resealed and repacked by post office.  Who has stolen my stuff?

So I want the Indonesian post office clarify who steal the item I purchased from e-Bay? Stealing is a crime. I hope you are aware of this!

Obama and Romney

via yahoo news
WASHINGTON (AP) — He's a smug, Harvard-trained elitist who doesn't get how regular Americans are struggling these days. More extreme than he lets on, he's keeping his true agenda hidden until after Election Day. He's clueless
about fixing the economy, over his head on foreign policy. Who is he?
Your answer will help decide the next president.
Is it Barack Obama, as seen by Mitt Romney? Or Romney, the way Obama depicts him? For all their liberal versus
conservative differences, when the two presidential contenders describe
each other, they sound like they're ragging on the same flawed guy. Or
mirror images of that guy.
Will voters prefer the man waving with his left hand or his right?
Blame it on two cautious candidates with more traits in common than their disparate early biographies would suggest.
No Drama Obama is panned as professorial and aloof. Romney is deemed boring when he's not being awkward.
Distrusted as too moderate within his own party, each is demonized as a radical by the other side. They don't get specific about the tough stuff, like
budget cuts or taxes, that would invite more precisely calibrated
negative ads.
Add a presidential contest buried beneath a single
issue, the economy, and original lines of attack are scarce. The
candidates take jabs anyway.
"They're trying to define each other. That's what it's all about," said Ken Duberstein, chief of staff to President Ronald Reagan. "They're throwing out different characterizations to see which one resonates."
With quickie Internet videos and instant comebacks via Twitter, "the attack
and counterattack is happening in real time," said political
communications expert Kathleen Hall Jamieson. "Campaigns are working to
make sure nothing is missed."
Attacks big or small get batted back, even if the response amounts to "I know you are, what am I?"
Democrats accuse Republicans of a "war on women," Romney's campaign notes rising female unemployment during the Obama years.
The Obama camp jokes about Romney's dog riding on the roof of the family
car; Republicans respond that Obama ate dog meat as a boy in Indonesia.
Both candidates are slammed as:
"Out of touch" with ordinary Americans.
Obama: Cloistered in the White House. Hangs out with celebrities, acting
"cool." Doesn't understand the real world because "he spent too much
time at Harvard," according to Romney, who earned two Harvard degrees
himself.
Romney: Grew up wealthy, with a governor for a father.
Worth $200 million or more. He's the kind of guy who had a Swiss bank
account and wants a car elevator for his beach house, the Democrats
note.
___
Bad for the middle class.
Obama: Failed to
deliver on his promises to help Americans "struggling to find good jobs
and make ends meet," the Romney camp says. Median household income is
down, unemployment up since he took office.
Romney: Wants to
reduce taxes on the wealthy while devastating Medicare and cutting
education, health care and other programs the middle class need,
Democrats charge. Obama says that amounts to "social Darwinism."
___
Suspiciously secretive.
Obama: Believing his microphone off, assured the Russian president he would
have "more flexibility" after Election Day. Obama will reveal "his true
positions only after the election is over," Romney says. Republicans
predict he would tack left on the environment, spending, gay rights and
other issues.
Romney: Told campaign donors of plans to cut or
eliminate the housing and education agencies as well as others — ideas
he hasn't disclosed publicly. "What's Mitt hiding?" Democrats ask,
demanding more about his personal tax returns and investments, too.
___
Too extreme.
Obama: Hopes to create "a European-style social welfare state," Romney says, and "put free enterprise on trial." Endorsing Romney, Newt Gingrich called Obama "the most radical, leftist president in American history."
Romney: Referred to himself as "severely conservative." He's "extreme on
women's issues," Democrats contend. Obama places him to the right of
Reagan and suggests he's akin to Barry Goldwater.
___
Unable to fix the economy.
Obama: Can't get the jobless rate below 8 percent. He "delayed the recovery
and made it anemic," according to Romney, who says Obama lacks the
private sector experience necessary to understand the economy.
Romney: As a venture capitalist, laid off workers and shipped jobs to Mexico,
the Obama campaign says. Also created Massachusetts jobs more slowly
than other governors of the time, Democrats note.
___
Not up to foreign policy.
Obama: Too weak to stand up to China or Russia or to stop Iran from getting a
nuclear bomb, and too eager to apologize for the United States, Romney
charges.
Romney: Likely to stumble into another misguided war,
according to Vice President Joe Biden. Wouldn't have had the guts to
send Navy SEALs into Pakistan to get Osama bin Laden, the Obama campaign suggests.
