Acer Aspire One died without warning

Acer Aspire One 150 ZG5 died without warning | CliffordX Blog - Making Money Online with CliffordX
My AAO 150 ZG5 netbook/UMPC died this morning without warning. It was working in normal condition last night while I was working and this morning, every effort to turn it on, when turned the power supply on the power light is turning green, but the hard drive activity indicator from the front panel below the screen has no blinking whatsoever. But there was a solution. Actually it’s brilliant.

To make it short, I stumble from this website, I was hesitant at first but when I went to the sites provided, I tempted that I might as well try it on my AAO. I go with the European server found here.

Here’s what I did on my own experience and just follow this like what I did mine. Actually I commented from original site where I follow the steps:

1. Get a USB stick any stick and format it to FAT. You can use HPUSBFW.EXE to format the the USB stick.

2. Place FLASHIT.EXE and 3309.fd (current version as of this writing) to the root directory of your USB stick and then rename it to ZG5IA32.FD

Inside your USB stick, it should have this 2 files: ZG5IA32.FD and FLASHIT.EXE

3. Place it on to your AAO USB slot, (any slot will do), with your AAO turned off.
4. Then press Fn + ESC key simultaneously. While pressing both keys, press the power button on. It should lit the green LED. Then release the Fn+ESC keys after a second or two, then notice that the USB stick is blinking, if it is, then it is flashing, just wait, don’t do anything then suddenly you’ll notice after a few seconds at most about 10 seconds I guess, you will begin to see that the BIOS will now boot properly. Bingo, your AAO now is safe from bringing it to your tech support.

If you have this similar problem about your AAO died suddenly, then this guide is your best shot and if all else fails then it’s time to bring it to the tech support.
