Why our government so stupid in tackling the epidemic of swine flu. There have been so many students have been affected since the first case of swine flu occurred in Indonesia last May. The government response here has been slow. Look at what Malaysia and Russia have done in tacking that issue! They free students from school. But here, when 15 students in Tanggerang Islamic boarding school got swine flu, the school headmaster were outrageous when he was told that his students got swine flu. He said that it was not swine flu , but just a normal flu. In Indonesia where most people are muslims, everything related to the pig is sinful. So I think this guy thought that how come his students got swine flu when pork is never touched. I bet he has poor knowledge about swine flu. He thought that muslims never eat pork so they can't get swine flu. It is a bit funny anyway...
And, you know, the government doesn't do much responding to the refusal of the school authority to free student from studying. Even when some students with swine flu went home to their hometown to be cared by their parents, the govt didn't repond, when the school authority let the pupils go home.... The result: more people get swine flu because the virus has traveled from the school to the students house. This is really saddening.
